I run to breathe

FINALLY got back on that horse and went for a run today. I have one word for how it felt - A-mazing. Yep, it deserves an emphasis it was that good. The crisp somewhat drizzly fall weather added to the run's excellence. I'm a huge fan of rainy fall days for a good run. Plus, I was cruisin' along to some of my favorite cheesy running soundtracks - Justin Bieber. Yep! I've got the Bieber Fever!!!! The cheesier the music, the better for running. You've gotta have some pop music that makes you want to sing along to keep you going on those days when you aren't feeling it, or to get you back on track when you've fallen off the workout wagon. So today, it was Bieber baby!!!!!

Had a great breakfast too - delicious sprouted grain bagel with Almond butter & jam, a bowl of mixed berries, and a cup of black illy coffee. Those Italians really know how to roast some terrific coffee! Post workout I think it will be a watercress, green apple & walnut salad with some goat cheese. Got that idea from the Bristol restaurant I went to last night in Bucktown. It was such a delicious salad - they used hazelnuts & manchego cheese, but I gotta make due with what's in my refrigerator.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I was in the 12th row at Dane Cook last night? Hilarious with a capital H! I'm off to make my salad...I'll take a photo and post it so you all can see my "cooking" skills.

Peace & Peas,

Jaime

Re:Turn

Yes, I have returned to blogging! We'll see how long I keep it up! This time I am adding photos and just letting my posts take on a world of their own! Spread the good word, people, I am taking over the blogging world and everyone who wants to read anything awesome, embarassing, in between or otherwise about me should start following! ha!

So, now that I'm back you might be asking yourself what this blog might be about. Well, it's going to be a combination of things as I have a lot going on in my life. I started a new job 6 months ago as a Sales/Education & Research Istructor for Attorneys. So far it's been a very challening yet rewarding job. I've been working quite a bit lately but I'm hoping that it all pays off when the attorneys I've been meeting with use my product and we can all reap the benefits!

I also recently (well, since May) started an new adventure in dating call eHarmony...or as I like to call it, eHarm! I'll get into the background of those adventures in later posts, but let's just say, I've met my fair share of mules and donkeys but no Stallions yet! So, I'll keep looking and amuse you all with my stories!

Also, I'm starting to get back into running/swimming/biking shape again to prepare to compete in a Half Ironman next summer in Door County, so this blog will be my accountability monitor of not only my training, but also my diet, because when I eat crappy, I tend to not want to do my workouts and then of course I sit on the couch like a slouch and eat more food. Such a vicious cycle. Get ready for some excellent photos of me and my running surroundings this fall/winter.

Here's to New Adventures, One Good Horse, Green Apples & Not so cool breezes this winter!
